Does any one know anything about Mr Brian Nunn?
A young lady told me that he went to Norfolk Island, I looked that up and it is in the Pacific Ocean.

I think the lad above's surname was Hansen. Brian Nunn lived in Whetstone and also had a barge on the River Ouse

I went to Friern Barnet County School and the boys club from 1960-1964. Sure I remember Richard Berry. I think he was in 4c. My name is Don Turner - played football for the boys club under Peter Johnson. Brian Nunn arranged transport for the boys, went on his motor boat at Ramsgate a few times

The boxer in photo is Peter Hanson, who used to be in same year as me in Friern Barnet County School, also Don's
brother David Turner. Somehow I found out we were related as my Grandmother's
maiden name was Edith Kate Turner, who married Walter Fairchild, my Granddad

Gary, ask Len if he remembers Brian Nunn, also another nonce, Cyril 'Fatty' Rice, both ran the boys clubs...Ask him if he ever went up the river on Nunn's boat, Sis would remember Fatty Rice, he didn't like girls, and I can assure you, he NEVER got Nunn from me...

I knew both Brian Nunn and Cyril Rice. Cyril Rice was in my Mum's class at school, and when I left School I worked in the Co-op store in Friern Barnet, where He also worked. Mum told me to be careful with Cyril as he liked boys. He actually penned me in when I came out of the big chiller cabinet, and said I have got you now. I managed to get him off balance and he ended up in a heap over the boxes that surrounded us. I still laugh about it now. Brian Nunn used to do a lot for the Friern Barnet Boys club. He was most definitely a Nonce. I remember I done a bit of waiting on the guests at Friern Barnet Town Hall. I believe it was the Mayor giving a speech, we took the orders from the guests, went to the bar and ordered an extra drink for ourselves and went in the toilet and drink it, well of course being about 14 yrs old we were getting merry. Then a lady from the boys' home in Parkhurst Road, John Vasilou. Who was pretty drunk, took the drinks back from the bar and tripped up just when the Mayor was speaking, and the tray with drinks on went all over the guests and floor. Such a laugh. John Vasilou was a boxer also.
