This is the street I was born in, with the gas holder looming over the back of it. The tree is right outside my house. It used to have a number of lower branches, until it was severely chopped back. I remember climbing it regularly as a child. I lived here until 1975, when Enfield Council bought the street from the Eastern Gas Board, re-housed us, then demolished the street and the gas works surrounding it, plus much of that area of New Southgate. The Homebase store sits right on top of it now!

So you are from the Irish family who moved into no.2 after my aunt and uncle left. I remember your sisters. Were they Kathleen and Mary?
