A trolleybus negotiates the turning circle in Station Road, New Southgate. The bus has arrived from Holborn Circus and the crew have not yet changed the blind, which still reads 'New Southgate Station' (Photo by Fred Ivey)

I was born in October 1962 and the last one ran in London in May 1962, so I missed the pleasure of travelling in one until a few years ago at the Carlton Colville Transport Museum. Great picture, with my 'Disney castle' featured behind!

I see the route number of this bus is 521. I used to catch the 521 or the 621 from Tally-Ho Corner when I was at school at Hillside Sec-Mod!
