The boys in the 3rd line down from the top, 4th and 7th in from the left, were my cousins, Patrick and David Mitchell. I was born in their house at No. 73 Oakleigh Rd South in 1949, my name was Annette Cox. I went to the same school as them, St Paul's School, The Avenue. Lots of my old friends went to the same school.

I am sad to say that Chris Cox who lived in Oakleigh Road and played football for local teams has died. Most of you will remember C. S. Motors which was Chris's. May you rest in peace Chris.

I am saddened at the news of Chris Cox aka Cockell or Coxy. He was a lovely man to know. My dad Wally Mayes who used to live at 402 Bowes Road knew Chris Cox well and worked for Chris for many years. Sadly my dad passd away some time ago. They will both be missed a lot by myself Gary Mayes. May they both rest in peace
