Henry Hawkins

The Rev Henry Hawkins was the chaplain at the Colney Hatch Asylum and founded the mental health charity MACA (now called Together) http://www.together-uk.org/about-us/history/together-s-founder which has been dubbed the forerunner of today's social services.
He lived in Friern Barnet and died in 1904 and is buried in the church of St James.
