I am sure that my nan, Mrs. Marjorie Joyes, is the tall lady at the back holding a baby, which may have been my uncle Jim. My mum would have been 12yrs old, but I cannot see her in this photo. My mum was Betty Joyes. I know my Aunty Joan and Uncle John, who were twins, were at this party, but I am unable to spot them also. My dad Toney Hetherington, would have been 14yrs old then. He told me that he was there. My mum has died, but my dad is still alive, and is 82yrs old now.

Fantastic photo and comments. I've only just come across this site and photos however wondered if there are any more photos available of VE parties 1945 in 'The Avenue' or 'Holmesdale Road'? Or would it be possible to trace the collection?
