Great photo, this is my great grand fathers shop. Currently researching his son who was killed in WW1 Pte Thomas James Sanders 283323 . If anyone has any further photos or info it would be greatly appreciated.

Great photo but I can't identify where exactly Sanders was in the High Road. Any clues anyone?

Could be where The Devonshire Cafe was later on

In the 1900 Post Office London Northern Suburbs Directory there is a JG Sanders listed at 28 High Road. In the Commercial section of same publication it is down as John Geo butcher same address. The 1944-67 OS map puts no.28 on the corner of Palmers Road and High Road. The 1892-1914 OS map does not feature numbers but shows same building in that position.

Hi Tony. Geo is short for George. Looks like another place to visit when back over next year. They had a previous business in Adelina Road.
