High Road, Whetstone

This part of Whetstone shows the view from The Black Bull pub to Chndos Avenue. There is not a soul in sight or evan a cart. There are no kerbstones and the gas lamp had to be lit by hand. The brick wall on the left is the boundary wall of The Palace Hotel. Note the wooden horse troughs in front of The Black Bull
