This unusual looking building is Betstyle Lodge, an 18th Century farmhouse for Betstyle Farm which occupied land bordered by Waterfall Road on the West and Bowes Road on the South. This picture shows that side of the property facing the farm itself. The photo dates from 1927, shortly before its demolition in 1928 when the Arnos Estate, of which it was part, was sold for housing. Thanks to Colin Barret for this history.
